Shortbread Rounds in Tins

Our recipe for a proper, traditional shortbread requires lashings of butter and a very precise bake to create that perfect, just-so, crumbly texture. A new range of five recipes, our shortbread are presented in a beautiful and highly giftable clip-lid tin in deep purple with botanical montage. Our Demerara Shortbread Rounds are as classic a recipe as you can get. We take our base recipe and them finish it simply with a sprinkling of Demerara sugar to give it a little crunch. If you use the highest quality ingredients already, you really can’t improve on the taste of shortbread, so, for our Flaked Almond Shortbread, we experimented on the texture and found adding ground almonds made for a superior crumb. Adding flaked almonds provides the perfect finishing touch. For our Lemon Zest Shortbread, we add lemon juice and zest for a subtle, citrusy flavour which lends itself perfectly to partnering a refreshing Darjeeling tea. For our Chocolate Drop Shortbread, we add a generous handful of milk chocolate drops for those who crave a little chocolate lift. And, for our Season's Pick Spiced Orange & Cranberry Shortbread, we've captured the essence of the festive season - a handful of cranberries, a dash of lemon oil and a pinch of cinnamon - for a warming, seasonal treat.
